     The Quality Assurance Department at the University of Basra seeks to spread the culture of quality among the university’s affiliates (teachers, staff and students) in order to improve the performance of the university and advance it and ensure the development of its performance to obtain accreditation for the university departments and to reach advanced positions, Iraqi and international, in the local and international classifications after fulfilling its requirements and in a manner that serves development sustainable development in various fields, the first of which is developing the skills and capabilities of our graduates to serve the community and their participation in building it.

Quality objectives:

1- Spreading the culture of quality and ensuring its implementation.

2- Ensuring continuous improvement.

3- Ensuring the quality of the functions and operations of the university's activities.

4- Preparing the university for national and international academic accreditation.
